Did you miss the big Apple event (WWDC)? Don't worry, we've got you covered! They announced a bunch of awesome updates coming to your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more.

Apple's making things smarter with cool AI features. Imagine your devices understanding you better and helping you in new ways! Get ready for big improvements to all your favorite Apple software, like your phone's operating system (iOS) and your computer's system (macOS).

  1. Apple Intelligence Unveiled: Apple introduced Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI features offering powerful generative models to iPhones, iPads, and Macs. By integrating AI capabilities into native apps, Apple aims to enhance user experience while prioritizing security and privacy. Apple Intelligence will be available on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, as well as iPads and Macs with M1 or later chips.
  2. Revamped Siri with AI: Siri now has improved app control, onscreen awareness, and the ability to manage notifications and communicate more effectively between apps. It leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) for better request handling and follow-up questions. Siri can also reference actions from one app while utilizing another, providing a more seamless and efficient user experience across the Apple ecosystem.
  3. ChatGPT Integration in Siri: Apple is integrating the OpenAI ChatGPT chatbot within Siri, allowing users to access the chatbot's powerful features directly through Siri. By seeking permission before forwarding requests to ChatGPT, the voice assistant ensures user privacy. The AI-powered chatbot can generate images, and no personal data will be stored while using the service.
  4. Genmoji and Image Playground: Apple introduces Genmoji and Image Playground as new AI-based features. Genmoji allows users to create custom emoji-like reactions based on text prompts, enabling more expressive communication. Image Playground is a new image generation tool capable of both providing various functions within iOS 18 apps and serving as a standalone app. Apple offers a dedicated API for developers to incorporate this feature into their devices.
  5. Improved Photos App with AI: Apple unveils major enhancements in the Photos app using AI technology. Users can now search for images within their library using natural language, making it easier and more intuitive to find specific pictures. Additionally, object removal and background clean-up features have been introduced, allowing users to modify their photos with ease.
  6. Device Mirroring with macOS 15: Apple's upcoming macOS 15 will enable users to mirror their iPhone screens on their Mac. This makes managing notifications and accessing content on the mobile device easier and more convenient through the computing device.
  7. Handwriting Improvement with Smart Script: Apple's new Smart Script feature uses machine learning to enhance users' handwriting and notes. The technology analyzes and improves the appearance of handwritten text and seamlessly integrates spell-check functionality for better legibility.
  8. Vitals App on watchOS 11: watchOS 11 introduces the Vitals app, which offers users easy access to their most essential health metrics at a glance. With new features like cycle tracking, Live Activities, and support for Check-In, the app provides a comprehensive overview of users' well-being during workouts.
  9. Private Cloud Compute and Transparent Code Inspection: To ensure user privacy while using AI-driven features, Apple relies on "Private Cloud Compute" technology to store data either on-device or in a private cloud. Apple commits to allowing independent experts to inspect their server-side code, in order to verify their privacy claims.
  10. Integration of ChatGPT and Systemwide AI Writing Tools: ChatGPT from OpenAI will be integrated into systemwide AI writing tools, providing users with enhanced writing suggestions, image generation, and improved user experience. As a built-in service, there won't be a need to create an account or make payments for ChatGPT, but users can connect their account to access paid features.
