You can use Shotcut to edit videos without importing files first, thanks to native timeline editing. It handles hundreds of audio and video formats through FFmpeg, lets you mix different resolutions and frame rates in one project, and provides frame-accurate seeking. The interface includes dockable panels for media properties, playlists, filters, and encoding. You can capture from webcams, screens, and audio devices, plus preview through Blackmagic Design HDMI/SDI outputs.
